Clocks by Design makes wall clocks for people with very specific obsessions. A particular breed of dog. A particular kind of racing silks. A sheep with opinions. Our library runs to more than 1,500 designs, and each one is made for the person who will notice every detail.
Made by hand in Cardiff
Every clock is printed, assembled and packed in-house in Rhiwbina, Cardiff, by Mike Mills, who runs Clocks by Design as a sole trader. There is no warehouse and no factory line. When you order, the person who makes your clock is the person who answers your email.
How a clock is made
Your design is printed on a large-format printer onto a genuine working clock face and fitted with a silent sweep quartz movement, so there is no ticking to argue over. It goes into a black or white frame, 40cm x 83cm, with a sturdy backboard and metal hanging brackets already fitted, and then into a gift box.
We make each clock to order, which takes 1 to 2 working days. It then travels by Royal Mail Tracked and Signed, usually 2 to 3 working days after that. The full details are on our delivery and returns page.

If something is not right
You have 14 days to change your mind, and if a clock arrives faulty or damaged we will replace it or refund you. Both are explained on the delivery and returns page.
